The furious Bergen King Gristle Senior banishes the chef from the village, who was to be responsible for the Troll preparation.
Twenty years later, King Peppy's daughter, the optimist and always cheerful Princess Poppy, decides to celebrate a great party in memory of the Troll escape, despite the fears and warnings of the grey and grumpy Troll Branch, who points out that the noise of a party could attract Bergen.
At the end Branch's fears come true, because the party fireworks are noticed from Bergen Chef, that to make up for what happened twenty years ago, capturing a number of Troll.
Poppy is saved and knowing that she was the cause of the capture of his friends Troll, she decides to save them, but soon discovers that she is the only one with the courage for a such adventure.
At the end she convinces the skeptic Branch who decides to join the Princess in the search. They begin a dangerous adventure to the city of Bergen.
